Catechism in St. Joseph and Mary Parish, Shauri Moyo, stands as one of the most important ministries within our faith community. It is the foundation upon which individuals, especially children and new believers, are prepared to receive the sacraments—Baptism, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation. Through catechism, we not only teach the doctrines of the Catholic Church but also guide people into a deeper, living relationship with Christ.

This ministry holds a central place in the life of the parish as it fosters spiritual growth, faith formation, and active participation in the Church’s mission. We are especially grateful to our 10 volunteer catechists, who dedicate their time, energy, and faith to this noble service. Their commitment is truly a gift to the parish, as they play a vital role in shaping the future of our Church through patient teaching, guidance, and example. Their selfless work ensures that catechism remains a strong and life-giving pillar in our parish community.
